It’s just dawned on me that two days ago on May 29 I have been blogging for 1 whole year. So much has happened over the past 12 months but rather than doing my head in trying to write a post recapping all of that, I decided that I’d
bore you with share my very first post again.
Blogging for me started merely as a hobby and an interest to learn more about, well, blogging. I’d heard of the term ‘blogging’ but didn’t really know what it was other than it might be a good way to journal my story, the story of how our family is making positive changes toward a simple more sustainable life in our home in Sydney, Australia.
And I’ve learnt so much, not only through the process of making positive changes but writing about it and connecting and sharing information and ideas with other like minded bloggers from all over the world. It has been an eye opening experience and I thought I was on to something new! Ha!
Thank you to my very very small community of loyal followers and also the poor fools who have stumbled across my blog in the hope of finding something really informative. I’m sorry. Keep searching, you’ll eventually find what you’re looking for!
And the elusive WordPress.com masterminds, whoever they are, who design and develop a vibrant range of affordable platforms and templates so that nobodies like me can turn drivel into something that look a little bit like the pages of a book. Who would have ever thought you could make money out of that!
And lets not forget the tech heads who work or volunteer behind the scenes to offer assistance and tips to the millions of computer troglodytes out there like me. You should be paid more.
Thank you to those who visited deliberately or otherwise and whether it’s been a good or bad experience I do not care. For me, it has released a stifled creativity within which I’ll be forever grateful for.
And lastly to my late father Joe who was the inspiration for my very first post and who gave me the encouragement to believe in myself.
